HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Soccer teams will kick-off their final weekend of home play in the 2023 season with a pair of Friday afternoon games against Oregon Tech at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The Carroll Men (6-2-2, 6-1-1), current CCC leaders, will start the afternoon double-header as they take on the Owls (7-3-2, 5-2-1).

The Men enter their final home stand as the current Cascade Collegiate Conference Team of the Week. The Saints, picked 11th in the CCC preseason poll, have put the league on notice through the first month of the season, and find themselves sitting at the top of the CCC standings after toppling both Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho last weekend in Helena.

Enrico Paparelli (Sao Paulo, Brazil / FR) has emerged as Carroll's top scoring threat, and one of the better finishers in the entire league. His five goals are the most by a Carroll player, and tied for 9th in the CCC.

Juan Muniz Navarette (Hermiston, Ore. / SO) has been outstanding in-between the pipes on the season. The transfer keeper has the best goals against average in the league (.62).

The Carroll Women (8-1-2, 5-1-1), are entering today's game in unfamiliar territory, coming off of their first loss of the 2023 season. They will look to bounce back in a big way against the Owls (3-4-3, 2-3-2) on Friday.

Even after suffering their first setback of the season, the Carroll Women remain in the "receiving votes" category of the NAIA National Coaches' Poll. They are currently in second-place in the CCC season standings, and will look to solidify their postseason positioning, starting with a chance to beat OIT, who currently sits at No. 8 in the league standings.

Emily Funseth (Great Falls, Mont. / SR) is currently third in the CCC standings with seven goals scored on the year.

The Carroll Women have never lost to the Owls inside Nelson Stadium. The Saints are 6-0 over Oregon Tech all time inside the league's largest stadium.

Both games this afternoon can be streamed through the VEO Live app. The stream is free of charge, but users must create an account and search for "Carroll College Soccer" to find this afternoon's games.
