BILLINGS, Mont. - The No. 24 Carroll College Men's Basketball team snapped a five-game skid, picking up a road win at Rocky Mountain College, 78-52 in Billings on Saturday.
The Fighting Saints (8-7, 2-2) got the monkey off of their back and picked up their first win in nearly a month, beating Rocky (10-6, 2-2) to even their Frontier Conference record at 2-2, and keep within a game of the conference lead.
Rocky would put the first four points of the game on the board, but the rest of the first half we be all about Carroll. The two teams felt each other out in the first nine minutes, with Carroll holding a one-point advantage with 10:57 remaining in the half. The Saints proceeded go on a 21-4 run over the back end of the first half to take a commanding 33-15 lead into the halftime break.

Gui Pedra (Sao Paulo, Brazil / JR) scored eight off of the bench to pace the Saints in the second half. Rocky would double their scoring output in half number two, but Carroll, playing with the lead, managed to outscore the Bears by eight to cap off the lopsided 78-52 victory.
Four Saints finished with double-digits scoring on the night, led by Cook's game-high 16 points.
Brendan Temple (Castle Rock, Colo. / SR) scored 12 points and pulled down seven boards.
