KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced their week six Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Carroll College guard
Andrew Cook is the recipient of the honor.
Cook (Huntington Beach, Calif. / SO) had an outstanding week, leading the Saints to victories over Montana Western and No. 12 Montana Tech. The Sophomore averaged 27.5 points per game, including a career-high 31 points in the win over UMW. Cook averaged 65.5 percent from the field, and 89.5 percent from the free throw line in the two wins. He averaged 4 assists per game and pulled down six rebounds.
The Sophomore is second in the Frontier Conference in points per game (18.2), and fifth in field goal percentage (54.1), and was named Frontier Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Players of the week are evaluated on their performance during the week prior to the announcement. Each player is selected out of a pool of conference and Independent Institution award winners.
