HELENA, Mont.- The Carroll College Women's Soccer team closed out the weekend with a dominant 3-1 win over Multnomah University on Sunday afternoon at Nelson Stadium.
The Saints applied heavy pressure on the Lions, keeping the ball on their offensive half for the majority of the game.
Kody Clements (Nederland, CO. / SR) opened up the scoring just eight minutes into the game with a penalty kick. In the 20th minute Zoie Koci (Boise, ID. / JR) doubled the Saint's lead, and Amaya Winkler (Billings, Mont. / SR) closed out the Saints' scoring in the 53rd minute. With thirteen minutes left in the game, Multnomah's Nanea Moke-Rabang put the Lions on the scoreboard, finalizing the score at 3-1.
The Saints offense showcased their talent with an impressive performance, outshooting Multnomah eighteen to six. With two of the goals coming in the first half and one more in the second, the Fighting Saints were able to put together a strong ninety minutes.
The Carroll College Women's soccer team will head to Kirkland, Washington to face off against Evergreen College at 1:30 pm on Friday and Northwest University at 1:30 pm on Saturday.
