BILLINGS, Mont. - The Carroll College Women's Volleyball team wrapped up play at the Frontier Conference Preseason Tournament in Billings with a three set loss to No. 20 Montana Tech on Saturday.
Today was not the Saints day in Billings, as they managed to keep each set close, but ultimately fall in straight sets to the No. 20 Orediggers.
Each set was a back-and-forth battle, with neither team ever completely dominant or out of it, however Carroll was not quite able to get over the hump, losing 25-23, 25-22, 25-20.
Katherine McEuen (Spokane, Wash. / SR) was the offensive leader for the Saints with 10 kills.
Elizabeth Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / SO) and
Madde Boles (Kalispell, Mont. / SR) each had 4 blocks.
Hannah Schweikert (Columbia Falls, Mont. / SO) finished a strong weekend with 26 assists on the day.
Carroll will now begin the Frontier Conference regular season, as they host their first home match of the year against Montana Western, Friday night at 7 p.m. in the PE Center.
