SURPRISE, Ariz. - The Carroll College Volleyball team finished their weekend undefeated at the OUAZ Invitational, beating Park University 3-2 and Ottawa University (AZ) 3-1 on Saturday.

The Carroll Volleyball Team is off to a very good start in the 2022 season, firing on all cylinders, and stacking early season wins.

Coming off of a pair of three-set sweeps on Friday, the Saints geared up for an early morning match with Park University.

Carroll jumped out to an early lead, winning the first two sets, 25-22, 25-21.

Park battled back however, grabbing the next two sets to force the deciding fifth set, before the Saints finally capped off the win 15-11.

Elizabeth Heuiser (Helena, Mont. / SO) paved the way offensively in the first match, finishing with 16 kills. Hannah Schweikert had an outstanding first game, racking up 41 assists.

The second match would not prove as difficult as the morning session.

The Saints carried momentum into the afternoon, again winning the first set 25-19. Carroll dropped the second set 25-15, before rattling off two straight wins to end the weekend, 25-23, 25-13.

Elizabeth Heuiser showed why she was named Frontier Conference Freshman of the Year, totaling a whopping 22 kills in the match, and Schweikert posted 41 assists for the second consecutive match.

The Saints will return home to Helena for the week, before heading to Bellevue, Neb. for the gosarpy.com labor day classic.
