HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Softball team split a double-header against No. 1 Oregon Tech at Centennial Park on Saturday afternoon. The Owls won the first game 7-0, before the Saints rallied to pull off a 5-2 upset in the second game.
A couple of early home-runs for the owls in game one got them ahead 4-0. They added three runs in the bottom of the fifth to cement their lead on the way to a 7-0 win.
OIT struck first in game two, taking a 1-0 lead in the third inning.

Kenna Thomas hit a single to score
Amber Countryman and Alyssa Lybert. They added to their lead in the sixth inning, scoring a run on an error, then plating one more on an RBI single from
Amber Countryman.
Carroll wound up winning the second game 5-2 after the Owls added a run in the seventh frame.
Abby Hanley was on fire in the circle throughout the second game. She only allowed two runs in seven frames.
Next weekend, the Saints will be at home against Warner Pacific for double-headers on Friday and Saturday at Centennial Park.
