HELENA, Mont. – The seventh-ranked Carroll Women's Basketball earned another Frontier Conference victory over MSU-Northern 75-54 at the PE Center on Thursday night.
The Saints jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, outscoring the Skylights 23-11 in the opening period.
Carroll continued their high-scoring ways in the second quarter, taking a 47-24 lead into the half time break.
In the second half, the Skylights managed to stop the bleeding a bit as the Saints were unable to extend their lead. However, Carroll still put the game away by a final score of 75-54.
11 Saints players found their way into the scoring column in Thursday's victory, four of which finished in double figures.
Danielle Wagner was the leading scorer for Carroll with 13 points.
Christine Denny and
Jamie Pickens each scored 12 points, with
Sienna Swannack adding 10.
MSU-Northern was led in the scoring department by Peyton Kehr who finished with a game-high 15 points.
After tonight, the Saints (20-5, 8-3) are now tied for second place in the Frontier Conference with No. 16 Providence who lost to No. 18 Rocky Mountain College on Thursday. Providence is also 8-3 in conference play, and Rocky is now 9-2 with four games left on the schedule.
