GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The 11^th-ranked Carroll Women's Basketball team punched their ticket to the Frontier Conference championship game on Saturday night, defeating No. 16 Providence 63-51 in Great Falls.
 
Carroll, who was the number three seed in the conference tournament, traveled to second-seeded Providence looking to avenge a 93-92 double-overtime loss that happened just nine days ago in the very same arena.
 
The Saints came out of the gate firing, opening the game on an 11-0 run. This would not be the last of Carroll's hot shooting.
 
Providence responded with a run of their own, making it a 16-14 game, in favor of the Saints, headed into the second quarter.
 
Carroll held steady throughout the second quarter, and built up a 32-26 lead at the half.
 
By the end of the third quarter, the Saints extended their lead to 12 points and that proved to be too much for the Argos. Carroll went onto win by a final score of 63-51.
 
Danielle Wagner stitched together a masterful performance, scoring 18 points on 50 percent shooting, while adding seven rebounds. Sienna Swannack also finished in double figures, adding 14 points.
 
As a team, the Saints only turned the ball over seven times while totaling 14 total assists on 21 made field goals. They finished the game 12-24 as a team from the three-point line.
 
Emilee Maldonado was the leading scorer for the Argos, posting 18 points. Maddy Dixon added 12.
 
Carroll will face off with No. 10 Rocky Mountain College on Tuesday night in Billings for the Frontier Conference Tournament championship. That game will tip-off at 7 p.m.
