Carroll Women's Soccer Falls to Southern Oregon, 2-0

HELENA, Mont.-  The Carroll College Women's Soccer team fell to the Raiders of Southern Oregon University 2-0 on Friday afternoon at Nelson Stadium.

The Saints played a hard fought and physical game, keeping the score at 0-0 for the first 45 minutes.

The ball remained in the Saint's defensive half for the majority of the game, making it a challenging 90 minutes for the defensive line. The Raiders struck in the 56th minute with a goal from Baylee Touey to gain a one goal lead. Sarah Mauk would score just six minutes later to finalize the score at 2-0. Carroll Goalkeeper Sarah Conway (Belt, Mont. / SR), faced a total of twenty shots from the Raider's offense.

Blair Stapleton (Billings, Mont./ SR) led the Saints offense, taking three of the eight shots notched by Carroll throughout the game. With five games left in conference play, the Saints will look to keep their number of conference losses at only two.

The Carroll College Women's soccer team will play their next game against Oregon Tech at 1pm on Sunday at Nelson Stadium.
