CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced the results of its 2023 Softball Preseason Coaches' Poll. Carroll College was picked to finish sixth.
The Saints, who finished in a four-way tie for sixth place in the 2022 season, are under new management. Carroll hired Shawna Juarez earlier this fall to lead the program after Head Volleyball Coach Moe Boyle stepped in and coached the Softball team on an interim basis last spring.
Oregon Tech, earned six first-place votes to top the preseason poll with 94 points. Southern Oregon University picked up three first-place votes and 88 points to sit in second on the poll. Just one point behind the Raiders is the College of Idaho with 87 points and two first-place votes.
The Saints will begin their 2023 season in Minot, N.D. at the Bubble Invite on February 4.
The CCC conference season begins the weekend of Feb. 24 and 25, with the CCC Softball Tournament playing out May 5-7 at the regular season champion's home field.
