BILLINGS, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team lost to Rocky Mountain College on Friday afternoon in Billings, 2-0.
The Saints (5-9-1, 4-8-0, who are fighting for the final spot in the CCC postseason tournament, simply could not get much going on offense today in Billings, and were spurned by pair of quick goals in the second-half.
After a scoreless first half, the Battlin' Bears would take a 1-0 lead in the 67th minute when Niklas Kneller scored off an assist from Quique Garcia.
Just three minutes later, Igor Soares would score with an assist from Aaron Ulloa to give Rocky an insurance goal and put the Bears on top 2-0.
Carroll Keeper Ryan Croft (Fleming Island, Fla. / JR) finished his day with ten total saves on 22 Rocky shots.
The Saints are in dire need of a win tomorrow afternoon in Great Falls when they take on Providence at 3:30 p.m. Carroll needs to win, and will likely need some help from elsewhere in the conference to secure the final spot in the upcoming CCC postseason tournament.
