Carroll Men's Soccer Earns 4-0 Shutout Win at Providence

GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team earned a 4-0 shutout victory over Providence on Saturday afternoon in Great Falls.

The Saints, who were unfortunately eliminated from postseason play, finished their season in a strong manner, knocking off Providence 4-0 to end the year.

Carroll jumped out to an early lead when in the fourth minute Darin Chavers (Thornton, Colo. / SR) scored off an assist from Joseph Satterthwaite (Las Vegas, Nev. / FR) to give the Saints a 1-0 advantage.

Chavers' goal would stand as the lone goal of the first half, and the Saints would take a 1-0 lead into the break.

Just three minutes into the second half, Adam Webster (Las Vegas, Nev. / FR) scored his first collegiate goal to double the Saints lead, 2-0.

Phillip Camacho (Bullhead City, Ariz. / FR) would add a goal in the 59th minute to extend the Saints lead to three, and Jeronimo Lago Huerta (Madrid, Spain / SR) would pick up his first goal of the season in the 72nd minute to put an exclamation point on the 4-0 Carroll win.

The Saints will finish ninth in the CCC regular season standings, just one spot removed from contention. The Saints do however have plenty to look forward to in the coming years, with the strong play of this year's Freshman class.
