HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Soccer teams will host College of Idaho in a pair of critical late-season matches on Friday at Nelson Stadium.
The Carroll Women (8-3-3, 5-2-1) have the opportunity to take down a No. 22 College of Idaho team that is currently unbeaten in conference play (11-1-2, 7-0-2). The Yotes are one of two teams who have already clinched their postseason berth. Carroll, currently sitting in the sixth spot, will look to solidify their place in the postseason tournament with a strong performance this weekend.
The Saints have not played since October 9, a 2-0 win over Oregon Tech, and expect the added rest to be a boost heading into this afternoon's contest.
Jaymee Sheridan (Helena, Mont. / SO) scored both of Carroll's goals in the 2-0 win over Oregon Tech and will look to continue her hot streak today.
The Carroll Men (5-6-1, 4-5) are currently in a three-way tie for the final spot in the CCC Postseason tournament. College of Idaho (8-4-1, 6-3) is sitting in fourth place, and a win for the Saints would go a long way towards a return to postseason play.Â
Carroll picked up a 5-0 win last weekend at Walla Walla, and hope to continue that trend this afternoon against the Yotes. Five different players scored in the win for the Saints, including the first collegiate goal for
Walker Jump (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho / FR) who also added an assist.
