HELENA, Mont. - The Carroll College Basketball teams will host their annual Purple and Gold Scrimmages tonight at the PE Center in Helena.
Fall is fleeting, winter is approaching, and Carroll Basketball is ready for their annual intra-squad scrimmages to kick off their quest for another Frontier Conference crown.
Both the Men and Women's teams, as well as the Women's JV team will be in action tonight at the PE Center.
The Carroll Men and Women's Basketball teams were both picked to finish first in the Frontier Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, released earlier this week, and look forward to their return to the hardwood.
This will be the first opportunity for Saints fans to get a peek at the new-look rosters, with key newcomers on both the Men's and Women's side.
Kyndall Keller (Havre, Mont. / JR), a transfer from the University of Montana,
Meagan Karstetter (Moses Lake, Wash. / FR) and
Izzy Erickson (Billings, Mont. / R-FR) are three faces that will likely make an immediate impact for the Saints alongside
Jamie Pickens (Helena, Mont. / SR) who was named Co-Frontier Conference Preseason Player of the Year, and Preseason All-Conference selection
Sienna Swannack (Nine Mile Falls, Wash. / SR).
Brayden Koch (Helena, Mont. / FR), who Helenans will be quite familiar with as the reigning Montana Mr. Basketball and Montana Gatorade Player of the Year, will make his initial appearance as a member of the Saints.
Jordan Bryant (Carmichael, Calif. / JR), a transfer from Yuba College and
Isaiah Moore (Fairfield, Calif. / FR) will also bring a new wave of athleticism to the Carroll squad. Anchoring the Saints front court again is Preseason All-Conference selection
Brendan Temple (Castle Rock, Colo. / SR)
Tonight's scrimmage is free to attend, and doors will open at 5 p.m. The Women's JV team will play two ten-minute periods at 5:30 p.m., the Women will play three ten-minute periods at 6:00 p.m., and the Men will play three ten-minute periods at 7:00 p.m.
