GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Carroll College men's soccer team suffered their second straight loss on Sunday afternoon to Embry-Riddle in Great Falls. The final score was 1-0.
Despite the low score, it was a game that involved a lot of shots for both teams. In the first half alone, both squads combined for 11 shots.
After the opening 45 minutes, the contest remained scoreless.
In the second half, Embry-Riddle really picked up the pace offensively. They totaled 11 shots of their own.
The scoreless tie was broken in the 73
rd minute. Djougher Oliveria assisted Jarren Peterson for a goal to put the Eagles up 1-0.
The Saints finished the game with eight corner kicks, 11 shots, and four shots on target but in the end, they were unable to find the back of the net.
From here, Carroll will be off until the beginning of Cascade Conference play. They will start their conference schedule at home on September 17 against Bushnell.
