HAVRE, Mont. – The Carroll volleyball team dropped two games on Saturday against MSU-Northern and Montana Tech on the final day of the Frontier Conference Tune-Up.
The Saints started the day off against MSU-Northern and won the first set 28-26 over the Skylights. From there, it was tough sledding.
Northern got the momentum on their side by winning the second set 27-25. They went on to win the match in four sets behind strong performances from Emily Feller who had 42 assists and Shania Neubauer who had 26 digs.
The Saints were led by
Katherine McEuen who had 16 kills.
Julia Carr and
Hannah Schweikert also had strong performances. Carr finished with 38 digs and Schweikert totaled 48 assists.
Carroll could not get the momentum going in their second game of the day against No. 15 Montana Tech. The Orediggers swept the Saints, ending their non-conference slate with a loss.
Taelyr Krantz had 12 kills to lead the way for the Carroll attack in their second game of the day.
The Orediggers were led by Olivia Muir, who had 11 kills.
Heading into conference play, Carroll has a record of 7-9. The Saints will open their conference schedule next Friday against Montana Western in Dillon.
