BILLINGS, Mont. – The Carroll College men's soccer team travels to Billings on Sunday afternoon to take on the Yellowjackets of MSU-Billings at 3 p.m.
The Saints are coming off of a spring campaign in which they finished 4-2-2 and took second place in the Cascade Conference East Division.
They return a strong core, headlined by Saintiago Morazzani, who won the Cascade East Division Offensive Player of the Year award last spring.
In addition to Morazzani, Carroll brings back a dynamic group of midfielders headlined by the likes of
Nick Lowrimore,
Ben Dagg,
Jeronimo Lago Huerta, Birgir Gauti Steffanson, and
Caleb Hoxie.
Carroll graduated Paolo and
Leo Georgiades from their back line. This season they will lean on the production of center backs
Darin Chavers and
Keegan Lyons as well as
Javier Rodriguez at outside back. Senior Goalkeeper
Kaden Connor will hold it down between the pipes for the Saints.
Freshmen
Leo Hwang and
Jacob Demmons will add depth to the Carroll attack as newcomers to the squad.
Sunday's contest at MSU-B will be the first official game of the season for the Saints as they look to start off on the right foot.
The Yellowjackets already have two wins, against Providence and Rocky, under their belt this season.
