Carroll Men's Soccer falls on the road to MSU-B

BILLINGS, Mont. – The Carroll men's soccer team lost to Montana State University-Billings on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 2-0.
 
With that loss, the Saints are now 0-1 on the season.
 
The Yellowjackets jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. Marvin Putu was assisted by Tybalt Thornberry and found the back of the net to put his team ahead in the eighth inning.
 
After that, the Saints were able to find their footing defensively. At the end of the first half, MSU-B maintained their lead of 1-0.
 
Both teams had their chances to score in the second half, as they combined for 11 total shots. Then in the 84th minute, Marvin Putu struck once more, this time being assisted by Pascal Pisareck.
 
The Yellowjackets, from there, were able to finish the game out with a 2-0 victory over the Saints.
 
Kaden Connor, a senior goalkeeper from Boise, Idaho, had five saves in goal today for the Saints.
 
Carroll will return to the pitch one week from today in Great Falls, Mont., as they take on Embry-Riddle.
