CALDWELL, Idaho – The Carroll College volleyball team bounced back on Saturday, winning two games at the C of I/Eastern Oregon Fall Classic in Caldwell.
The Saints earned sweeps over College of Idaho and The Master's (Calif.) to break even on the weekend.
In the opening game against the Yotes, the Saints came out swinging. They won the opening set 25-20.
After that, they continued to roll and won the next two sets 25-16 and 25-21 to secure the sweep.
It was yet another dominant performance from
Taelyr Krantz. The senior from Helena, Mont., led the way with 12 kills and 12 blocks in the first win of the day.
College of Idaho saw a strong performance from their setter, Sydnee Steel. She finished the game with 13 digs and 18 assists.
In the afternoon slate, Carroll picked up right where they left off. It was a dominant performance in a win over The Master's (Calif.).
The Saints won the first three sets 25-14, 25-21, and 25-17 to earn their second sweep of the day. That wrapped up a successful day at the office.
Kylie Kackman, a junior from Colfax, Wash., stitched together an excellent performance with 12 digs and 13 assists.
The Saints are now 5-3 on the year and will look to continue their early success next weekend at the Premier Labor Day Classic in Bellevue, Neb.
