WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced their 2021 preseason coaches' poll on Tuesday afternoon. Carroll College was voted to finish in fourth place out of eight teams.
Carroll, Eastern Oregon, and College of Idaho tied for the conference championship in the 2020-21 five team, four-game spring season. Carroll earned the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA Football Championship Series.
In this year's poll, Eastern Oregon is the preseason favorite to win the 2021 Frontier Conference fall football championship. College of Idaho and Montana Western tied for second in the poll followed by Carroll, Southern Oregon, Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain College, and MSU-Northern.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams. First place was worth seven points, second place worth six points, third place worth five points, fourth place worth four points, fifth place worth three points, sixth place worth two points, and seventh place worth one point.

The Saints will open the season on August 28 in Dillon, Mont., against the Bulldogs of Montana Western.
