HELENA, Mont. -- Carroll College head volleyball coach Moe Boyle announced her first group of 2021 signees. Highlighted by two Montana natives in Elizabeth Heuiser and Hannah Schweikert, the initial 2021 recruiting class will also include Kylie Zralka from Oregon, Ella Heckman from Washington, and Jadyn Mueller from Minnesota.

Now let's meet some of the newest Saints!

Elizabeth Heuiser / MH / Helena, Mont. / six-foot 
 
Regarded as one of the top players in the state of Montana, Heuiser will join the Saints after a successful career at Helena High. In her sophomore season, Heuiser began to find success being named second team all-conference and Helena IR all-area second team. Then in her junior season, she began to soar toward new heights. In both her junior and senior seasons, Heuiser earned first team all-area, all-conference, and all-state honors. In addition to her success on the court, she also is very decorated as a student with a 4.0 cumulative GPA and four years of academic all-state selections in three separate sports. Heuiser was also valedictorian, a member of the National Honors Society and 3-7-77s. Her parents, Brian and Amy, both attended Carroll and Amy is in the Carroll Athletics Hall of Fame.

Hannah Schweikert / S / Columbia Falls, Mont. / five-foot-nine
 
Another player known as one of Montana's best, Schweikert comes to Helena from Columbia Falls where success came in bunches during her high school career. Schweikert was a two-time all-conference selection and also an all-state selection for Columbia Falls. In addition to playing volleyball, Schweikert also competed in tennis and basketball. She achieved a 4.1 cumulative GPA and received academic all-state recognition all four years in all three sports. Schweikert is the daughter of Jaxon and Suzy Schweikert and she plans to study Civil Engineering when she arrives on campus in the fall.

I love her grit on the court, she has competitive style of play and shows a lot of confidence on the court. Hannah is one of the most passionate players you will find."
 
Quote from Schweikert on her decision to come to Carroll: "Coming to visit and getting a taste of what the season could be was incredible. Meeting the girls and coach, and getting to know the program let me see how well I fit into it. I couldn't see myself playing anywhere else."
 
Jadyn Mueller / DS / Maple Grove, Minn. / five-foot-eight
 
Hailing from the Midwest, Mueller joins the Saints from Maple Grove, Minn. In high school, Jadyn could also be found competing in basketball, soccer, and lacrosse, in addition to her successes on the volleyball court. Her individual accomplishments include making it on to the AVCA Under Armor High School All-American watchlist and the Ultra Ankle JVA watchlist. Posting a 3.6 GPA, Jadyn was also a member of the honors club. Mueller is the daughter of Tim and Tami Mueller and has plans to study health sciences when she arrives on campus in the fall.

Ella Heckman / OH / Gig Harbor, Wash. / six-foot
 
Ella Heckman will represent the pacific northwest, coming to Carroll from Gig Harbor, Wash. Like all the others in this 2021 recruiting class, Heckman played a high school career that was full of great accomplishments. For her high school team, she started three years, was a captain for two years, received all-league recognition three times, and was voted as the team's top offensive player two times. In her senior season, Heckman also was voted the Gig Harbor High School Department Athlete of the Year. She also holds the school records for hitting attempts per season and kills per season. Ella is the daughter of Robert and Melissa Heckman, and plans to enter the architecture and interior design field. She posted a 3.98 cumulative GPA and was a member of the National Honors Society.

Quote from Heckman on her decision to come to Carroll: "When choosing a college to continue my academic and athletic career, I wanted a place I felt at home, and when I came to Carroll the people and the atmosphere at the school were very welcoming and I could see myself growing and living here. I also chose Carroll for the competitive nature of the volleyball program and Coach Moe's coaching style."
 
Kylie Zralka / MH & OH / Sherwood, Ore. / six-foot-one
 
This Oregon native joins the Carroll volleyball family after a high school career in which she set records and was one of the most feared players in her area. During her career at Tulatin High School, Zralka received all league recognition four straight years. As a four year starter, Zralka set school records for kills in a single game, kills in a single season, kills in a career, blocks in a single game, and blocks in a single season. She also led her team in hitting percentage all four years. The daughter of Keith and Casey Zralka, Kylie graduated high school with a 3.4 cumulative GPA and plans to study nursing at Carroll.
