HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College head women's basketball Coach Rachelle Sayers announced the signing of Millie Brunner, a 6-foot forward from Wenatchee, Wash.

Brunner originally played at Cashmere High School in Wenatchee, before transferring to Mountain View High School in Nampa, Idaho, in order to play her senior basketball season.

In her senior campaign, she was a starter all season long on a Mountain View team that went on to a 20-2 record and an Idaho 5A State Championship this winter. Millie led her team in rebounds with 6.1 per game, while averaging six points, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 assists.

"We are super excited to get Millie," Sayers said. "She has a huge upside. She is really strong, she is a great athlete (runs the 100-meter and 200-meter in track) and she is just a really high quality kid. She is going to learn and grow tremendously in our program and her best basketball is still ahead of her."

Brunner carries a 3.92 GPA and will also compete in track and field for Carroll upon her arrival.

"Their team goals helped me realize that the atmosphere I will train in will help me grow not only as an athlete, but as a person," Brunner said. "I found that the coaches and players at Carroll prioritize education and I could tell that in the long run, Carroll promoted the brightest outcomes for my future."

Millie plans to study health sciences with a focus on nutrition when she arrives at Carroll this fall.
