HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College Men's Basketball added yet another member to its 2021 recruiting class earlier this week, as Andrew Cook made the decision to become a Fighting Saint.

Cook is a 6'4" guard/wing from Huntington Beach, Calif. He attended Servite High School in Anaheim, Calif., which is a catholic, all-boys school.

With his length and athleticism, Cook possesses the skills to score the ball any which way and he will provide the Saints with the versatility to be able to play a number of positions on the court.

"This was a big signee this spring for Carroll Basketball," said Head Coach Kurt Paulson on the signing of Cook. "Andrew brings so much versatility to our team next season with his ability to score. He has had games of 47 and 39 already this season while playing in the Trinity League, which is one of the best leagues in the country for High School hoops."

Coach Paulson and his staff had Cook on campus this past weekend for an official visit, and there is a long list of reasons why he will be a great fit to don the purple and gold.

"The combination of our school reputation, basketball program, and the faith element to Carroll were exactly what he was looking for," Coach Paulson added. "Andrew embodies everything we are about here at Carroll with his academics first approach, his strong faith, and his love of competing."

This is the third straight year that the Saints have brought in at least one player out of the state of California, and with last year's addition of Assistant Coach Ronn See, Carroll fans should expect to see the trend continue.

"I would like to thank Coach See for his work on Andrew's recruitment," Coach Paulson said. "His great relationship building and reputation in California helped get this tremendous player up to Carroll."

Andrew intends to study Secondary Education in Social Studies when he arrives to Helena in the fall.
