HELENA, Mont. -- James Lang, a 6' guard from Jesuit High School in Beaverton, Ore., has committed to join the Carroll Men's Basketball program.

Lang joins the Saints after playing his high school career for one of Oregon's top 6A programs, in Jesuit. As a junior, he averaged 14 points and 3 rebounds per game.

"James is one of the best scorers in the state of Oregon in the highest classification of 6A," said Carroll Head Coach Kurt Paulson. "His high school program at Jesuit is a championship team under Gene Potter.  James knows how to win and you can't teach that."

Along with his winning attitude, Lang also brings a reliable ability to knock down outside shots. He excels at shooting the three ball, hitting on 40% of his attempts from beyond the arc in his junior season.

"I'd like to thank my parents and my Jesuit High School coaches with all the hard work and time they put in to get me to this point in my career," said Lang on his decision to commit to Carroll. "I'm very excited to attend Carroll College and to be a part of Coach Paulson's basketball program."

James plans to study accounting when he arrives to Helena in the fall.
