PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Carroll Men's Soccer team defeated Multnomah for the second time in as many days on Monday evening by a final score of 5-0.
It was the Santiago Morazzani show, as he led the Saints with four goals in the match.Â
Morazzani, a junior midfielder from Buenos Aires, Argentina, got the scoring started in just the second minute with his first goal.
The Saints went on to score four goals total in the first half. Three by Morazzani, and one by Paolo Georgiades. Georgiades is a senior defender from Johannesburg, South Africa.
The final goal came in the 64th minute on a corner kick, when Nick Lowrimore's cross found Morazzani again to score his final goal of the day.Â
Lowrimore finished the game with three assists. Joining him in the assist column was Javi Rodriguez, Ben Dagg, and Caleb Hoxie.Â
Monday's match was dominated by the back line of the Fighting Saints. They managed to hold the Lions to just one shot and zero shots on target.Â
Carroll, on the other hand, finished with 38 shots, 13 of which were on goal.Â
The Saints, now 2-0 on the season, will play their first home games next week on Sunday and Monday against Eastern Oregon. Both of those games will be at 2 p.m.
