HELENA, Mont. The Carroll College Men's Soccer team improved their record to 3-0 on the season Sunday afternoon at Nelson Stadium, defeating Eastern Oregon 4-1.
The Saints got off to a hot start, striking first in the 11th minute. Sophomore Jeronimo Lago Huerta found senior Nick Lowrimore for a goal and Carroll held a 1-0 lead.
In the 31st minute, Lowrimore found the back of the net once more. This time, it was fellow senior Leo Georgiades who set him up to score.
Carroll went into the half leading 2-0.
To start off the second half, the Saints picked up right where they left off. This time it was junior Santiago Morazzani who scored in the 51st minute, courtesy of freshman and Helena product, Caleb Hoxie.
In the 56th minute, junior Ben Dagg assisted Santi Morazzani for his second goal of the contest, putting the Saints up 4-0.
Miguel Aguilar scored in the 79th minute to put the Mountaineers on the board, but after that, the Saints cruised to a 4-1 victory.
Carroll showed a relentless effort on the attacking end, tallying 18 total shots and 12 shots on target.
