PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Carroll Men's Soccer Team won their first game in Cascade Conference play comfortably on Sunday defeating Multnomah by a score of 8-1.
In what was a great way for the Saints to start off their conference season, the Saints were very effective at each level of the field.Â
Kaden Connor, a junior from Boise, Idaho, set the tone in goal will stellar play. On the back line, it was a strong group effort to hold the Lions to just seven shots and three shots on target.
Leo Georgiades, a senior from Johannesburg, South Africa, and
Javier Rodriguez, a sophomore from Madrid, Spain, were staunch in breaking down the opponents attack and distributing the ball up the field.
In the midfield, the Saints saw some great production from their two defensive midfielders.
Ben Dagg, a junior from West Seattle, Wash., and
Caleb Hoxie, a freshman from Helena, had two goals a piece.
Santiago Morazzani, a junior from Buenos Aires, Argentina, also scored two goals. His first goal came when the Multnomah goalie attempted to clear the ball, but bounced it off of Morazzani right back into the goal. Santi's second goal came from a penalty kick.
The other two goals came from a
Nick Lowrimore. Lowrimore, a senior from Sandy, Utah, was asked to step up and move from midfield to play striker. He responded with a great game.Â

Luke Rosenberger,
Paolo Georgiades,
Leo Georgiades, and
Jack Bentson all had assists in Sunday's game as well.
The Saints will be back on the pitch tomorrow against Multnomah at 6 p.m. MST.
