NAIA Selection Show

Women's Basketball | 03/04/21 | 11:42 AM

HELENA, Mont. -- The selection shows for the NAIA Men's and Women's National Basketball Tournaments will be aired live on the Play NAIA Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PlayNAIA) on Thursday, March 4th. The women's selection show will be first at 5 p.m. MST, and the Men's will follow at 6 p.m. MST.

Concerning Carroll, the Women's Basketball team has an automatic bid into the tournament after winning the Frontier Conference Championship on Monday night. For the Men's Basketball team, they will hope to have their name called as an at-large bid after a second-place finish in the Frontier Conference.

The NAIA National Basketball Tournaments will have a slightly different look this year. For both Men and Women, the field will be made up of 48 teams. In the past, they have sent all of the teams to one site. This year, the field will be divided into pods for the opening rounds. There will be eight pods for each tournament, all of which will have six teams. Two teams will make it out of each pod, sending 16 teams to the final site. For the women's tournament, the final 16 will go to Sioux City, Iowa. The final 16 for the Men's tournament will go to Kansas City, Mo.
