GREAT FALLS, Mont. -- The Carroll College Men's Soccer team tied with the University of Providence 2-2 in a hard fought battle on the pitch Sunday afternoon in Great Falls.

In the first half, the Saints struck first in the 20th minute. Javi Rodriguez was able to set up his teammate Santiago Morazzani, who found the back of the net and put the Saints up 1-0.

Before half time, in the 39th minute, Manu Garcia of Providence scored a goal to even the score at 1-1 heading into the break.

In the 65th minute, Santi Morazzani struck again. Once again, it was Javi Rodriguez on the assist to Morazzani to put Carroll up 2-1.

As the end of the game quickly approached, the Argos tied it up in the 89th minute off of a goal scored by Daniel Huseby. Huseby's goal for Providence sent the match into overtime.

Both teams got shot attempts off through the two overtime periods, but the game still ended in a 2-2 tie. 

Carroll finished the match with 22 shots, nine of which were on target. Providence, on the other hand, tallied 16 shots and seven of those were on target. 

The Saints are now 4-2-1 on the year, and the Argos are 3-1-1.
