HELENA, Mont. -- After opening the Spring season with back-to-back games on the road, the Carroll College football team will return to the friendly confines of Nelson Stadium for their first home game of the season against Montana State-Northern on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Saints come into their home opener with a record of 1-1 after defeating Rocky in Billings to open the season and falling on the road at Eastern Oregon last weekend in La Grande.

For the Lights, they are 0-1 this year. Two weeks ago, they opened their season up with a 26-12 loss to College of Idaho. After having a bye last week, they will head to Helena to battle with the Saints.

Leading the way thus far for Carroll is sophomore Running Back from Junction City, Ore., Matthew Burgess. Burgess, who was first team all-conference as a freshman, is picking up right where he left off in his sophomore campaign. He is currently averaging six yards per carry and 137.5 rushing yards per game.

The star of the show for Northern in their first game was junior Running Back Andrez Trahan-Proctor. Trahan-Proctor ran for 94 yards against College of Idaho, including a rushing touchdown.

You can listen to Saturday's game on the radio, with the pre-game show starting at 12:30 p.m., on Rewind 94.9 FM and online at https://network1sports.com/station/espnradio. Daniel Salle and Gary Turcott will have the call.

The game will also be broadcasted on SWX with Rocky Erickson and Jeremy Schnell calling the action.
