Biography

2019 | FRESHMAN SEASON
Named first team all-conference as a true freshman... Earned two Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week Awards... Scored a team-high 16 touchdowns... Led team with 1,076 rushing yards on 174 attempts (6.2 yards per rush) and scored 15 rushing touchdowns... Caught seven passes for 71 yards and a score...  Named Academic All-Conference...

HIGH SCHOOL
Burgess was a team captain and played running back and safety at Sheldon. After compiling 1,829 yards and 26 TDs as a senior, he was named first team all-state and first team all-league at running back. He was also the Southwest Conference Player of the year and a finalist for State Player of the Year. Off the football field, he was named as an Outstanding Scholar Athlete as a 4.0 GPA student.

PERSONAL
Burgess is the son of Shannon and Mike Burgess and has one sister (Makenna). He plans to pursue a degree in engineering.
