WHITEFISH, Mont. -- Frontier Conference Commissioner Kent Paulson announced the Frontier Conference 2020-2021 Women's All-Conference Basketball team, as well as individual award winners and Champions of Character after balloting by the league's coaches.

The Carroll Women's basketball team was represented by Head Coach Rachelle Sayers, who was named Coach of the Year, as well as six players. Three Saints players were selected for the All-Conference First Team, one was selected for second team, and three earned individual honors.

Head Coach Rachelle Sayers, the Frontier Conference Coach of the Year, has taken Carroll Women's Basketball to new heights in her tenth season at the helm. The Saints posted their best record under Coach Sayers in 2020-2021, finishing 21-2 overall with a conference regular season record of 13-1. Now the Saints await their NAIA National Tournament draw, which they will find out on Thursday.

Jamie Pickens, a sophomore forward from Helena, Mont., was voted Newcomer of the Year and made the All-Conference First Team in her first season playing for the Saints. Pickens started all 23 games for the Saints this season. She was the team's second leading scorer, averaging 13 points per game as well as 6.4 rebounds per game.

Danielle Wagner, a senior guard from Havre, Mont., was also voted onto the Frontier Conference First Team. In her senior campaign, Wagner led the Saints in scoring with 15.2 points per game and played 34 minutes per game which was also a team high. This is her third time making all-conference, as she was selected to the second team as a sophomore and the first team as a junior.

The final Saint to make it on the First Team was Christine Denny, a senior forward from Fairfield, Wash. Denny, the do-it-all veteran for the Saints, averaged 12.3 points and 6.4 rebounds a game this season. Much like Wagner, Denny was also an all-conference second team selection as a sophomore and an all-conference first team selection as a junior.

Sienna Swannack, a junior guard from Nine Mile Falls, Wash., was the lone Saint voted on to the all-conference second team. In her second year as a starter, Swannack was a jack of all trades averaging 8.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Swannack also led the team in assists with 67 in 23 games. This is Swannack's first all-conference selection after being an honorable mention last season.

Maddie Geritz, a sophomore forward from Boise, Idaho, was voted Co-6th Player of the Year. Geritz provided instant offense for the Saints off the bench all season long as was a true spark for this team. In 12.3 minutes per game this year, Geritz still managed to average 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Molly McDermott, a senior forward from Spokane, Wash., represented the Saints as their Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Champion of Character. McDermott provided length and versatility for the Saints while being one of the team's greatest leaders on and off the court.
