HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll Volleyball defeated Montana Tech Saturday 3-0 to complete the weekend sweep of the Orediggers. 
 
The first set was won by the Saints as they started to build momentum, taking it 25-22.
 
The second set was the most intense of the three, but it was the turning point of the match for the Saints. As both teams went back and forth, the Saints emerged by a score of 29-27.
 
The third set was close at the start. Montana Tech called a timeout after the Saints took an 18-16 lead. Then Mara Lynch, a sophomore from Bozeman, Mont., went on a serving run to put the Saints up 24-16. After a Tech point, Carroll responded to finish off the sweep.
 
Mara Lynch, to go along with her serves, led the Carroll back line with 15 digs.
 
Maureen Jessop, a sophomore from Corvallis, Mont., tallied 12 kills to lead the Orediggers.
 
With this win, the Saints are now 7-3 on the year. Tech has fallen to a record of 4-6.
