CALDWELL, Idaho -- The Carroll Softball team dropped their first two games of the 2021 season on Saturday falling to College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

The Saints struggled to get their offense going in the first game, only tallying one hit against the 17
th ranked Yotes. The Yotes won by a final score of 9-0 in five innings.

In the second game, the Saints jumped out to a 3-1 lead over EOU after the first inning. Then, in the third and fourth inning, Eastern put up a combined 9 runs.Â

Carroll fought hard to keep it close, but in the end, they lost in a 15-10 shootout.

The Saints will return to the diamond Sunday as they take on College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon again at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
