DILLON, Mont. -- The Carroll Men's basketball team closed the Frontier Conference schedule with their 11th win in 12 games Sunday, beating Western 77-63 in Dillon.
Efficiency was the name of the game in the first half as the Saints continued to share the ball effectively on offense. They shot 17 of 33 from the field in the first 20 minutes of play.
In the second half, Carroll continued to score the ball at a high rate, while keeping Western's star players in check on the defensive end.Â
The Saints finished with four guys scoring in double figures, as well as two more who scored nine points. Shamrock Campbell, a junior from Spokane, Wash., was the leading scorer with 15 points. Jovan Sljivancanin, a junior out of Belgrade, Serbia, also had a big game tallying 12 points and 17 rebounds.
Jamal Stephenson, a junior from Skokie, Ill., led the Bulldogs with a game-high 16 points.Â
Carroll, with Sunday's victory, finishes their regular season 16-6. Western ends theirs at 7-12.
The Saints will have a bye in the first round of the Frontier Conference Playoffs before they play their first game of the postseason next Saturday at 7 p.m. at the PE Center.
