HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll College Men's Basketball team earned a spot in the Frontier Conference Championship game with a 67-62 win over Montana Tech at the PE Center on Saturday night.

In the first half, the game was an absolute slug fest as both teams continued to trade buckets. After 16 first half lead changes, Carroll took a 35-34 lead at half time.

To open the second half, Montana Tech took the momentum and built a nine point lead. The score was 46-37 in favor of the Diggers at the under 14 timeout.Â

From there, the Saints clawed their way to victory as they continued to hit their free throws and make the right plays down the stretch. In the end, Carroll secured the five point victory.

Brendan Temple, a sophomore forward from Castle Rock, Colo., hit two free throws late to ice the game for Carroll.

Jovan Sljivancanin, a junior forward from Belgrade, Serbia, was the Saints' leading scorer with 15 points. He also added 9 rebounds and 5 big assists.

Sindou Diallo, a senior guard from Tacoma, Wash., led Tech with 18 points.

The Saints will take on Providence on Tuesday night in Great Falls at 7 p.m. in the Frontier Conference Championship game.
