DILLON, Mont. -- The Carroll Men's Basketball team clinched the number two seed for the Frontier Conference Playoffs with a 67-52 win at Montana Western Saturday night.
This victory marks the Saints' 10th win in 11 games.
Once again, the defense of Carroll was impressive as they shut down Western's offense that has been hot as of late.Â
After a run to end the first half, the Saints went into halftime with a 36-23 lead. In the second half, they managed to maintain their double digit lead and won the game by a final score of 67-52.
Jovan Sljivancanin, a junior from Belgrade, Serbia, filled the stat sheet once again for the Saints. Sljivancanin finished with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists.Â
Western's leading scorer was Jalen Hodges, a senior from Duluth Ga. Hodges scored 14 points for the Bulldogs.Â
The Saints (15-6, 12-5) and Bulldogs (7-11, 6-11) will battle it out again on Sunday at 4 p.m. in Dillon at Straugh Gymnasium.
