HELENA, Mont. Carroll Volleyball swept the Montana State-Northern Skylights on Saturday afternoon to win their fifth straight match and secure an undefeated weekend. With this win, the Saints are now 5-1 on the year while Northern is now 1-5.

The Saints started the game strong, picking up where they left off from Friday's win, as they took the first set by a score of 25-20.

Then in the second set, the Skylights started to make a push as they jumped out to a 7-2 lead. After coach Moe Boyle called a timeout, the Saints took all the momentum back and surged to a 25-19 win.

In the third and final set, the game stayed close as Carroll looked at a 22-21 lead with a chance to seal the game. They then rattled off three straight points to complete the sweep.

For MSU-Northern, they were led on the attack by Elissa Lind, who finished with 13 kills. Lind is a senior from Hardin, Mont.

Lexi Mikkelsen, a junior from Nine Mile Falls, Wash., tallied 15 kills today to lead the Saints attack.
Taelyr Krantz, a junior from Helena, also had a tremendous game as she finished with 12 kills on 20 attempts.Â

Carroll Volleyball will be back at it again next weekend as they travel to Billings to take on Rocky Mountain College on Friday night at 7 p.m. and Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
