HELENA, Mont. -- The Carroll Men's Basketball Team's 8-game winning streak was snapped Saturday evening, as they fell to Providence by a final score of 80-69.
Out of the gate, it was a fast-paced game, but it was Carroll who jumped out to a 20-13 lead. Then the Argos came out of a timeout and evened the score.
As the first half was winding down, the Saints found themselves down 41-33, but a late 7-2 run made the halftime score 43-40 in favor of the Argos.
The second half started off with some fireworks from both teams, as buckets continued to be exchanged. In the end, a 13-2 run by the Argos capped off by a Dawson Fowler and-1 put the game out of reach for Carroll. The final score was 80-69 in favor of the Argos.
Leading the way for Carroll tonight was

Jovan Sljivancanin, a junior from Belgrade, Serbia, also had a strong outing finishing with 15 points, 15 boards, and 6 assists.
