CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball Preseason Coaches' Poll for the 2022 season was announced on Tuesday. The Carroll Softball team was voted to finish seventh in a loaded CCC field.
Picked to finish first was last season's NAIA World Series runner-up, Oregon Tech, with College of Idaho being picked to come in second and the two-time defending national champions, Southern Oregon, picked to finish third. College of Idaho finished in third place at last year's NAIA World Series.
2022 will mark the first year for the program under new Head Coach
Brian Bessette. Last year, Carroll posted an overall record of 16-30. The Saints return key players in
Jessica Nimmo,
Amber Brewer, and
Kaitlynn Ayers. Nimmo and Ayers both received all-conference recognition in 2021.
