HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team continued their winning ways on Friday night at the PE Center, defeating Warner Pacific 79-63.
The Saints got off to a solid start to the game, as they led the Knights 19-10 early in the first half. Warner Pacific responded with an 8-1 run to cut it to a 20-18 ball game.
From that point through the end of the first half, the Saints outscored WPU 17-11 and took a 37-29 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Saints managed to double their lead behind 16 second half points from
Shamrock Campbell. Carroll was relentless in the second half and wore the Knights out en route to a 79-63 win.
Jovan Sljivancanin led the way for the Saints, posting his fifth double-double in as many games. The senior forward finished with a line of 26 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists.
Brendan Temple and
Shamrock Campbell both finished in double figures as well with 16 and 11 points respectively.
Another big highlight of the game for the Saints was the way they dominated on the glass. They out-rebounded the Knights 33-18.
Carroll will be off for a week before traveling to Butte next weekend to partake in the Montana Tech Classic. They will face off with College of Idaho and Oklahoma City.
