Carroll Women's Basketball rolls to 91-52 victory over Central Baptist

HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Women's Basketball team took care of business on Wednesday night, defeating Central Baptist College 91-52 at the PE Center.

In the first quarter, the Saints had to navigate through some pressure from the Mustang defense. Eventually, Carroll eased into their comfort zone and took a 18-13 lead into the second quarter.

The second quarter is where the Saints really took off. Carroll outscored Central Baptist 26-9 in the second quarter to set up a 44-22 half-time lead.

Carroll ran away with the game in the second half behind outstanding performances from their three All-Americans in Christine Denny, Danielle Wagner, and Jamie Pickens. The Saints outscored the Mustangs 47-30 in the second half, leading to a 91-52 final score.

Denny led all scorers with 17 points. Wagner and Pickens were right behind her with 17 a piece. Kyle Olson was the fourth Saint in double-figures with 12 off the bench.
