HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Women's Basketball team secured their sixth straight win on Friday night, defeating Whitworth University 88-61 at the PE Center.
Carroll jumped out to an early lead with a high-scoring first quarter. After ten minutes of play, the Saints held a 22-14 lead.
The Saints continued to pull away in the second quarter, and took a 42-25 lead into half time following a 6-0 run to end the second quarter.
Carroll's offense exploded in the third with a 29-point quarter. Their efforts in the second half helped them cruise to an 88-61 win.
Sienna Swannack scored the team-high 14 points for the Saints. Swannack was one of six Carroll players in double-figures.
Christine Denny had a double-double, totaling 10 points and 11 assists.

Maddie Geritz, and
Kyle Olson were the others to finish with 10 or more.
Whitworth's leading scorer was Megan Dorney. Dorney finished the game with a game-high 19 points and five rebounds on 8 of 10 shooting.
Next up on the Docket for the sixth-ranked Saints is a tough road test against a solid MSU-Billings team. That game is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
