HELENA, Mont. – The fifth-ranked Carroll Men's Basketball team advanced to 8-0 with yet another convincing win, defeating Our Lady of the Lake 85-60.
 
In the first half, OLLU did their best to apply a lot of pressure with some aggressive defense. They disrupted the passing lanes, but Carroll was able to settle in and find some great looks. At the half, Carroll led 48-28.
 
The pressure got to Carroll a little bit more in the second half. However, the Carroll defense continued to hold strong and force the OLLU offense to grow weary as the game went on. The final score was 85-60.
 
Junior center Brendan Temple was lights out in what was probably the best game of his career as a Saint so far. Temple scored 17 points on a perfect 8-8 shooting.
 
Jovan Sljivancanin tallied another double-double, finishing with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
 
Ellis Jones was the leading scorer for Our Lady of the Lake. He posted 12 points on 50 percent shooting.
 
Carroll will hit the road this weekend for the Bushnell Classic in Eugene, Ore., in which they will play Bushnell on Friday at 6:30 p.m. MST and Corban on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. MST.
