HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team advanced to 7-0 this season with a highly contested 59-51 win over No. 24 College of Idaho at the Montana Tech Classic.
The scoring was slow paced throughout the first half, with both teams bringing it on defense. The Saints were able to take a 28-27 lead heading into the half-time break.
In the second half, the game stayed close the whole way. The Saints eventually found their footing though and finished the game off with an eight-point victory behind stifling defense and double-digit scoring efforts from their two All-Americans.
Shamrock Campbell wound up being the leading scorer with a game-high 18 points.
Jovan Sljivancanin was right behind him with 17.
College of Idaho finished the game with only one player in double figures. Ricardo Time led the charge with 10 points.
Carroll will return to the hardwood on Wednesday night, as they look to remain undefeated against a tough Our Lady of the Lake team.
