HELENA, Mont. -- Sunday afternoon the Carroll College men's soccer team tied Evergreen State in a tightly contested Cascade Conference matchup.
In the 23rd minute,
Rory Bloy scored to give the Saints the 1-0 lead, a lead the Saints would take to the locker room at halftime.
Early in the second half however, the Saints conceded a goal thanks to a Joe DiCarlo strike assisted by Maxton Hauser.
Over the course of the double overtime contest, the Saints shot 25 times (10 on goal) compared to Evergreen's 17 shots (eight on goal).
Both goalkeepers were stingy today with
Kaden Connor registering seven saves, while the Geoducks' Colin Hauser registered nine saves.
The loss puts the Saints at 2-2-2 in Cascade Conference play, while Evergreen State goes to 1-3-2 in conference.
The Saints look to a tough upcoming road trip to Klamath Falls, Ore., and Ashland, Ore., to take on Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon respectively this coming Friday and Saturday afternoon.
