Carroll Men's Soccer Shut Out Providence 4-0

HELENA, Mont - The Carroll College Men's Soccer team earned a much needed victory on Friday at Nelson Stadium. The Saints beat Providence by a score of 4-0.

The Saints raced out to a three goal lead in the first half, all scored by Junior Forward Rory Bloy. Bloy's first two goals were nearly identical, both headed in and assisted by great crosses from Junior Defender Javier Rodriguez. The third goal of Bloy's hat-trick came with an assist from Senior Midfielder Ben Dagg.

The Saints would add one more penalty kick goal for good measure in the second half off the foot of Midfielder Santiago Morrazani.

Carroll spent much of the afternoon on the offense, with the team totaling 21 shots on goal, 10 of which came from Senior Nick Lowrimore.

The Saints will look for another strong performance to close out the season on Sunday at 1pm, as they host Rocky Mountain College with a potential spot in the Cascade Conference playoffs on the line. Sunday's Senior Day game will be broadcast on the Fighting Saints Network, presented by Point S Tire and Auto at www.youtube.com/c/carrollathletics
