HELENA, Mont. – The Carroll Men's Soccer team saw their season come to an end on Sunday afternoon as a result of a 2-1 home loss to Rocky Mountain College.
The game got off to a slow start with both teams struggling to find opportunities early on. That was until the 40
th minute when
Luke Rosenberger launched a free kick into the box from beyond mid-field to set up a
Santiago Morazzani header. That header put Carroll up 1-0.
At the half, the Saints held a 1-0 lead.
Rocky equalized in the 66
th minute on an Igor Soares goal. Niklas Kneller was credited with the assist.
With the match all tied up 1-1, it was the Battlin' Bears who notched ahead with an 84
th minute penalty kick by Milo Downey.
Following the loss, the Saints finish the season with an overall record of 5-8-2 and a conference record of 5-6-2, falling short of the Cascade Conference tournament.
