SPOKANE, Wash. – The Carroll Men's Basketball team tallied another victory in Spokane on Friday night, defeating NCAA DIII Whitworth 73-55.
In the beginning of the first half, both teams went back-and-forth. The Saints made a big statement with a 14-1 run to put the Saints up 23-10 with eight minutes left in the first.
Carroll continued that momentum into the break. After 20 minutes of play, they led 44-22.
Whitworth made a push in the second half to make things close, but the Saints were able to roll and win the game by a final score of 73-55.
Senior Forward
Jovan Sljivancanin posted another double-double to lead the Saints. He paired his game-high 17 points with 12 rebounds.
Three other Carroll players scored in double figures.
Shamrock Campbell and
Jonny Hillman finished with 12, while Gui Pedra added 10.
The 4-0 Saints will return to the hardwood next Friday night at the PE Center as they get ready to face off with Warner Pacific.
